We visited Apple Weekend at Julita and planted a couple new apple trees at Tullgarn.
We bought two trees to complement the two already at Nedre Malmen: an Åkerö, which is a favorite, made with a cutting from the original 300-year old tree. Also a Kesäter, a traditional late-fruiting variety.
These Åkerös are from the trees at Julita. Note the funny curly bit near the stem.
Thomas, Maja and Vide stopped for a fika and stayed for dinner on Sunday (smoked pastrami and homemade sauerkraut with fresh baked bread).
